Subject: Blackberry Enterprise Server support another domino domain
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: Not attempted

Hi

We have a Blackberry Enterprise Server V5.0 SP1 already installed and working on our UK domino server box.

I want to be able to get a Spainish Blackberry user configured using the same BES server install. The spanish domino domain is still hosted in same building but is a separe notes domain.

I have managed to find some guidelines and will attempt to set up the Domino side as per instructions. Any one have any other guidance before I begin?

For BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.0, 4.1, and 5.0

Note: In this list, the messaging server refers to the Lotus Domino messaging and collaboration server on which the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is installed.

Verify that the messaging server contains connection documents from the messaging servers in other domains from which it will replicate. This configuration facilitates message routing among foreign domains.
Verify that the messaging server has directory assistance turned on for every other domain. This setting is required for address lookup and message addressing.
To provide access control, add the Lotus Domino messaging server to the LocalDomainServers group in every other domain.
Note: The BlackBerry Enterprise Server must have read access to the Lotus Domino Directory and Manager's access with Delete Documents permission to the mail files.

Cross-certification, at either a server or organization level, must be established between the Lotus Domino messaging server and the messaging and directory servers in other domains. This configuration facilitates access from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to a messaging server in a foreign domain.
Creating a test IBM® Lotus Notes® user account in the Lotus Domino messaging server and send messages to a user in foreign domains.
